shield Overview

Kinetix Speedometer is designed with privacy in mind. The App performs speed calculations, trip recording, mileage tracking, fuel logging, and route processing locally on your device.

We do not operate servers that collect or store your trips, GPS routes, mileage records, or personal driving history.

my_location Information We Use

phonelink_setup Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following information locally on your device:

• Trip history and statistics
• Route GPS points and GPX data
• Mileage records and fuel logs
• Vehicle information
• Speedometer settings and preferences

This information remains on your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.

share Export and Sharing

The App allows you to:

• Export trip data as GPX files.
• Share GPX files using Android’s standard Share menu.
• Share trip statistics or the application link.

These actions occur only when you explicitly choose them. Kinetix Speedometer never automatically uploads or shares your trips or routes.

If you share data using another application (email, messaging, cloud storage, etc.), that application’s privacy policy governs how the shared information is handled.

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

Google AdMob may collect certain technical information including:

• Advertising ID
• Device identifiers and model
• App interaction information
• Approximate location where permitted

The App integrates the following third-party services:

• Google Play Services
• Google AdMob

These services operate independently under their own privacy policies.

do_not_distribute Data Sharing & Selling

We do not:

• Sell personal information.
• Sell location data.
• Upload GPS routes or trip history.
• Upload mileage or fuel records.
• Share personal driving information with third parties.

notifications_active Notifications

During active trip recording, Android displays an ongoing Foreground Service notification. This notification is required by the Android operating system to keep GPS recording running reliably when the app is in the background.

key Permissions

Depending on your device version, the App may request:

• Location Permission (Precise & Approximate): Required to calculate speed, distance, and record trip routes.
• Foreground Service Location: Required to maintain continuous trip recording while the screen is off or app is minimized.
• Notification Permission (Android 13+): Required to display the active trip tracking status notification.

Permissions are requested only when needed for core functionality.

bug_report Log Data & Diagnostics

If the App crashes, third-party services (such as Google Play Services) may automatically collect technical diagnostics (e.g., device model, Android OS version, crash logs, and timestamps) to help improve application stability.

lock Data Security & Retention

Because your trip information is stored locally on your device, you retain full control over your data.

We do not retain your trip data because it is not stored on our servers. Your locally stored information remains on your device until you delete individual trips, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App.

gavel Your Rights

You may, at any time:

• Stop trip recording.
• Revoke permissions in Android Settings.
• Export or share GPX files.
• Delete individual trips or clear all trip history.
• Clear application data or uninstall the App.

update Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be published with a revised “Last Updated” date.
